How to Change the Twitter Background Color

Although changing the background color and image on Twitter is straightforward there are a few tricks that can save you time and make your site look more professional.

1. Log in to Twitter and go to Profile:

2. Click on "Edit your profile" which should be right right above your tweets.

Or you can also get there by going to the drop down in the top right of the page and then select settings.

3. Click on "Change design colors" / "backround" (or whatever area you would like to change)

As you can see we have a background that doesn't match our brand. It helps if you have a website that is professionally designed/branded.

Tip: To match an existing color. Use a graphics program like ColorZilla (a Firefox plugin) or Fireworks to determine the color code. Copy & Paste this code into the Twitter background color box.

For example my color code is "7f3519" and this is how the page looks now.
